ABC news reported that Elizabeth Taylor died March 23, 2011 of congestive heart failure at Los Angeles, Calif.'s Cedars-Sinai Hospital. She was 79-years-old. The Oscar-winning actress, who had been a Hollywood star and glamour icon for over 60 years, was surrounded by her children, according to a statement by her publicist, Sally Morrison. Taylor endured through eight marriages to seven men, loss of family and close friends to AIDS, alcoholism, a brain tumor and recurring ailments and injuries.
